Gathering Love

I was thinking specifically about new parents, and parents of children in the age of birth through seven when I wrote my post “Gathering Grace” recently.

One thing I think about with the children aged seven through fourteen, who really are in the heart of childhood, is that they should be gathering love.

Love for the beautiful Creation around them.

Yes, love for the Creator of All.

Love for the upright, the moral, the just.

Love for their elders (and yes, respect for their elders as well).

Love for those less fortunate than themselves.

Love for themselves and all that they can do.

Love for art, music, speech, poetry.

A love and a zest for life!

A love for  fun and for joy and laughter.

A love for good words: great stories, kind words.

How is your parenting and your homeschooling helping your child between the ages of seven and fourteen gather love?

Many blessings,
