A Blog I Am Really Enjoying

Are all of you familiar with Bella Luna Toys and its new owner Sarah Baldwin?  I am really enjoying her blog; for those of you with small children (or without! LOL) and an eye on this first seven year cycle please do check her articles out here:  http://blog.bellalunatoys.com/.  If you would like to learn more about Sarah please see here:  http://blog.bellalunatoys.com/about  (although she doesn’t mention anything about being an author which she is!  Here is a link to her book here:  http://www.waldorfbooks.com/edu/curriculum/kindergarten.htm?zoom_highlight=sarah+baldwin)

Here are a few of my favorite articles from this blog:

Love this and love to you all!

  1. Thank you so much for the kind words about my blog, Carrie. What a pleasant surprise! I am a big fan of The Parenting Passageway as well, so your vote of confidence means a lot to me.

Stay tuned for an all new and improved Bella Luna Toys website, set to launch during the month of September!

  2. Carrie, thanks for your uplifting posts…they bring me peace in our little world of chaos at home…ha,ha! Sara’s words of wisdom are so wonderful, too. I hve a quick question…do you know of any blogs, or posts of your that could give me some ideas or resources on the building passions of the 9 year olds? I can’t really afford any curriculum, unemplyment , but I would LOVE to find ideas of what others have done to help fill this burning need of a 9yr old boy! Thanks!

    • Hi Lolo,
Have you seen the posts on the nine year change on this blog and the posts on Waldorf Third Grade? Those should help you and will link you to other resources..there is a good article by Rahima Baldwin Dancy on her website as well. Doing and dealing with authority are major themes of the nine year old year. Those back posts should be of help; use the search engine and they will come up 🙂
      Many blessings,

  3. thank you for this. just started research on unschooling to eventually complement normal schooling since in Malta homeschooling is illegal. Been wondering if I should send him at all to kindergarten when he’s 3….what are your views?

    • Melissa,
What is the mandatory age to start Kindergarten in Malta? Is it like most European countries where Kindergarten starts at age 3 but no academics are broached until First Grade?
