My sweet toddler is under the weather and so am I; I hope all of you are faring healthy out there! Working on stocking stuffers and gifts?
I found a few links I wanted to share with you this weekend that I thought were well- worth a read and a look:
I, too, am baffled by this thought that Waldorf Education is somehow not academically rigorous. This comes up on many general homeschooling forums and lists, and I still don’t understand it. Has anyone on these lists looked at the grades curriculum? At any rate, here is an interesting and brief look at this topic by another author: http://ssagarin.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
I especially like Melisa Nielsen’s post here about the unhealthy home life and what to do about it: http://waldorfjourney.typepad.com/a_journey_through_waldorf/2011/12/love-and-respect.html
New knitting patterns: http://www.teaandpost.com/wanderings/ Very sweet!
Eileen’s post on “So You Can’t Afford A Waldorf School” is an interesting look at a common comment: http://eileensplace.blogspot.com/2011/12/so-you-cant-afford-waldorf-school.html
And Rebecca’s post on “Compassion For All”: http://bendingbirches2010.blogspot.com/2011/12/compassion-for-all.html
Many blessings to you,
Carrie
So sweet of you to mention Wanderings! Thank you! Off to read your other links, praying that you are all restored to health soon! xox
