Please link to your favorite Etsy Sellers here!  I have families from all walks of life and many different countries who read this blog.  Many of them are contemplating adding more handmade or small-seller gifts to their holiday celebrations for the very first time (and as we all know, sometimes this can be the first step toward also making some gifts next year!)

 

However,  these readers have no idea where to start on Etsy.  Therefore,  I would love for you all, my dear readers, to post links to the sellers you love on Etsy and what you have bought this year or in the past.

    This store has some really affordable, simple wood cutouts. We had a bit of a problem with the water-wave-set breaking with rough play, but otherwise (people, trees, dragons) the pieces have all become part of my children’s daily play.

    I agree with looking into the teams as well. They can give you a combined effort towards common focus in there work. Don’t limit yourself to them though. You’ll find, once you click on individual shops, that the individuals have a great sense of art and value others outside the Waldorf realm. Like myself, I’m not a doll maker or a painter but I am greatly influence by Rudolph Steiner’s architecture and by the beautiful and serene Waldorf community and I strive to reflect that in my pieces.

    I’ve bought unfinished trees and stacking toys from ClickityClack. Much less expensive than the pre-finished ones we see in catalogs, plus I get to do the fun part (painting and beeswax finish).

Hi all- can I promote myself- I don’t yet have an etsy shop, between homeschooling waldorf and running my business I haven’t gotten there yet but I make beautiful items from felted wool sweaters. My favorites are Hot Water Bottle covers-(sell the water bottles too!) potholders and wine sleeves. I also do things like scarves and mittens, fingerless gloves and ponchos. She creates small wooden figurines – totally adorable – at reasonable prices, as well as little journals, story dice, etc. She lives in my town and I would love for you all to stop by her shop on Etsy to grab a sweet wooden critter for your advent calendar or stocking!

  36. Etsy is THE BEST place to buy! I am constantly amazed at the variety of extremely talented artisans in the Etsy Marketplace. Why would you buy anywhere else? I have a millinery shop where I make hats and fascinators using traditional millinery techniques.
