I so agree with you! The first one is rather an anxiety ridden time I think, just because even if you are cool and collected it still is all new, and with the arrival of the second we tend to be so concerned with the first and how the adjustment is going...and the third to me has just been relaxing fun! My two girls play and we all just enjoy the baby!!
Congratulations on your third as well!!
And I totally agree with you, much like we plan a marriage ceremony but don't talk a lot about marriage for the after part, we plan childbirth but don't talk enough about raising children, the implications for our marriage and all of the changes that come with building a family!
Cheers,
Carrie

We've been talking about this alot right now with the arrival of baby number three. My husband feels at home in his role and I do in mine. I wish we would've have felt this comfortable with the other two it is what it is. I feel like our society does a disservice to first time mothers- focusing so much on the baby and birth and not on the days/ months following the birth. There needs to be a more honest, hopeful discussion. Enough of my soapbox!
Also, I've been meaning to write CONGRATS! Hope you're doing really well and loving that babe.
